Cherries and lemons, the inspiration behind this truly celebratory and colourful dinner. Set within the wonderfully intimate Glasshouse at Heckfield Place in Hampshire, this set up felt very special. The colour palette was bright and colourful - a base of yellow with pops of pink and cherry red.

Designing such a colourful tablescape is such an exciting project and we really enjoyed curating this look. Keeping it broadly to two main colours – yellow and red, we played with tones within these main colours to introduce a range from amber through to a buttery yellow and then blush pink through to deeper red tones. Having the range of colour grounded the design which was especially important within such a bright space.

The long table was laid with a textured, buttery yellow tablecloth providingsuch a bright pop of colour to the light and airy Glasshouse. Within the tablescape we focussed on weaving texture into the florals, the tableware, cutleryand glassware to give this set up a gorgeous, layered feel. Colourful glasswaresat perfectly on the lemon-yellow cloth adding both a touch of amber yellow androsy pink. The water glass was spotted with white flecks, mimicking the whiteof the Glasshouse frame.

When it came to the crockery, we opted for dinner plates in a neutral tonebut with a scalloped texture. We sat these upon a charger with a bold pink edgedpattern which could be seen peeking out underneath the dinner plate. Thecutlery was a brilliant opportunity to introduce a natural texture, and thebamboo handled range worked well with the overall look and feel of the space.

‍Our stationer designed awaved edge menu to display the dishes on offer and we printed these in yellowand red to align with the table design.

Working with the playful andfun colour palette, the florals by Fiona Fleur Studio, were designing to have agreat sense of movement. The colours within the displays ranged from a palepink through to a deep cherry red. Sitting in raised glass vases they were theperfect centrepiece running down the middle of the table. Woven within thedisplays we introduced a range of tall taper candles in cherry red and a blushpink.

Two very special chairs markedthe seats for our guests of honour, tied with extravagant raw silk bows.Another fun touch to raise a smile and to add to the playful set up. Aperfectly colourful setting to enjoy a delicious, locally produced dinner.
