It was an immense privilege to plan a bespoke event at the V&A last month. We transformed The Dome and the Raphael Gallery into an elegant and stylish setting for a corporate reception of over 300 guests. We endeavoured to create a journey worthy of this show-stopping venue, making the most of every space. This included a champagne reception in The Dome, guided tours of the British Galleries, canapés served in the Raphael Gallery followed by a private viewing of Shoes: Pleasure & Pain. The Exhibition highlighted many iconic shoes and designers; with the glass slippers made for Lily Jones 2014 Disney version of Cinderella, taking centre stage.

We subtly incorporated the clients' brand colours through lighting, velvet sofa seating and navy damask linen. At Golborne HQ we adore this time of year and reflected this in elegant autumnal floral arrangements of burnt oranges, deep reds and chocolate browns using cymbidium orchids, winter hydrangeas, chilies, roses and oak leaf. The dynamic and vibrant Elixir String Quartet performed a mix of classic and contemporary hits as the guests enjoyed desert canapés, the hit of the evening being a Mini Pavlova with a liquid mango centre on a white chocolate disk.
