Hintze Hall is now open

Hintze Hall reopens for events

The redevelopment of Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum is now complete. The museum opens at 10am today! The space has been transformed with Hope, a huge blue whale skeleton. This is elevated above the event space. As regular event planners at the Museum we are very excited to be planning parties underneath Hope later this year. We were lucky enough to have a sneak preview of the whale before the works were complete and we can confirm it is breathtaking.

"The blue whale is the largest-known animal to have ever lived on earth. Driven to the brink of extinction by hunting, it was the first species that humans, as a species, took a decision to save. It tells a story of hope." Hence the name of the whale - Hope. Plunging through the heart of Hintze Hall, this real 25.2 metre female skeleton will take centre stage among hundreds of new specimens across three floors. Also the museum are including ten other star specimens to include a giraffe. Find them in each of the ground floor alcoves. These exhibits reflect the story of evolution, diversity in the world today, and the museum’s role in protecting the planet.

The Hintze Hall reopens today, 14th July – get in touch with our team to arrange a site visit to see the Blue Whale skeleton.

The Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum have also launched their talks and tours package. These are designed to enhance any event, including a talk from one of their world-class scientists, discovering the people and specimens behind the Museum’s pioneering work. They bring guests closer to the collection. It is a fantastic way to engage guests, particularly for smaller events taking place in the Darwin Centre, Earth Hall and the Nature Gallery. Talk topics include Dinosaurs and Fossils, Humans and Evolution, Deep Blue Sea and Environment and Climate Change.

The museum still has a few remaining dates available for Christmas parties. Please get in touch for more details on hosting your party at this iconic venue. From 200 guests for a dinner in Earth Hall to an exclusive hire of museum for 3000 guests the venue is perfect. However large or small your event, the Natural History Museum has an incredible range of spaces available to suit maximum impact or a more intimate celebration.
