Golborne Manor Wedding

Today we wanted to share with you a recent marquee wedding reception that we planned at Golborne Manor. As an 18th century country manor house with beautiful gardens and views of the Cheshire plains, Golborne Manor makes for a stunning, rural backdrop for a marquee wedding.

The marquee was provided by Raj Tent Club who provide a fantastic range of unique and decorative Indian tents which make for a stunning back drop for any wedding reception or party. For weddings they have a beautiful range of romantic white on white linings. For this wedding we selected a 10m x 6m Single Maharaja for the Reception drinks and a separate Triple Maharaja which can accommodate up to 120 for a dinner and dance. For the dining area we lined the tents with white on white jali venetian walls with cream drapes and to create a more 'night club' feel for the dancing tent we lined this with indigo walls and blue drapes. For lighting we lined the coconut matting path with lanterns and the tents were dressed with gold hanging lanterns and a glitter ball over the dance floor. For the evening we installed pale amber up lighters to create a lovely warm glow, break up gobo's to create a dappled effect, pinspot lighting to highlight the floral displays and cake and an overhead system of moving lights in the dancing area. The tents looked incredible!

The flowers were provided by our florist TBR Floral Design who we have worked with for many years on countless events. As always he delivered an outstanding combination of beautiful designs and displays incorporating pink, green, white and cream with a mix of hydrangeas, roses, lilac and anemone.

For the wedding cake we selected a classic romantic design incorporating a touch of art deco which tied in with the stationary, bridesmaid dresses and bride's wedding dress.

Entertainment was provided during the reception with a chill out set by DJ Matt Maurice and an Oyster Boy serving oysters on demand straight from traditional wicker baskets. The Beat Factor party band performed live after dinner getting everyone up on the dance floor in seconds! 

The catering was provided by our local Cheshire Caterer Rupert Frazer Worden of The Fine Dining Company who is a very talented chef and outstanding wedding caterer. We served a range of canap├ęs during the reception, followed by the wedding breakfast of sharing tapas starters; roast thyme and garlic marinated lamb rump with roasted mediterranean vegetables and a deconstructed raspberry eton mess for dessert.
